Model Highlights

Exterior Design

The exterior of the 2026 Transit is defined by a focus on utility and professional aesthetics. It is available in three roof heights—low, medium, and high—and two body lengths, allowing local contractors and delivery services to select a configuration that fits their specific storage needs. The front end features a refreshed honeycomb mesh grille with a Carbon Black surround, while higher configurations can be equipped with HID or LED headlamps for improved visibility during early morning shifts.

Practicality is woven into every detail, from the sliding passenger-side door to the 50/50 hinged rear doors that can be upgraded to open 253 degrees. This wide-opening capability is particularly useful for loading oversized pallets or equipment in confined areas. For the 2026 model year, the Transit also introduces a redesigned rear taillamp system that seamlessly integrates sensors for advanced driver-assistance features.

Interior Refinement

The interior has undergone a digital transformation, evolving into a sophisticated command center. Every 2026 Transit Cargo Van now comes standard with a 12-inch center touchscreen powered by SYNC 4. This system provides wireless connectivity for Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™, ensuring drivers remain connected to dispatch and navigation without tethered cables. Complementing the center screen is a new 8-inch digital instrument cluster that provides real-time vehicle data at a glance.

The cabin is designed for long hours on the road, featuring ergonomic seating and a medium center console with an integrated shifter to maximize floor space. Keyless push-button start is now a standard convenience, allowing drivers to begin their routes quickly. In the cargo area, the Transit offers up to 487.3 cubic feet of space in the extended-length, high-roof configuration, with available LED lighting to assist with nighttime organization.

Performance and Capability

Performance is delivered through a choice of two reliable engines. The standard 3.5-liter PFDi V6 offers a balanced output of 275 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. For those requiring more muscle for heavy hauls or towing, the available 3.5-liter EcoBoost® V6 provides a robust 310 horsepower and 400 lb-ft of torque. Both engines are paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission for smooth, consistent power delivery.

To handle Wisconsin’s varied seasonal conditions, the Transit can be equipped with Intelligent All-Wheel Drive. This system is integrated directly into the chassis so that it does not increase the load floor height, maintaining the ease of loading while providing extra traction on snow-covered roads.

Safety Technology

Safety is a core priority, with the Ford Co-Pilot360® suite now standard across the lineup. This package includes:

  • Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking.
  • Lane-Keeping System to help prevent unintentional drifting.
  • Forward Collision Warning and Post-Collision Braking.

Available upgrades like a 360-degree camera with split view and a Digital Rearview Mirror provide clear visibility even when the cargo area is fully loaded. Additionally, the new Delivery Assist feature can automate the activation of hazard lights and door locking when the vehicle is placed in park, streamlining the workflow for high-frequency delivery stops.
