Model Highlights

Exterior Design

The exterior of the 2026 Escape is defined by its fluid lines and contemporary styling. The front fascia features an available coast-to-coast LED light bar on higher trims, which connects the sleek headlamps and creates a distinctive light signature at night. The grille design varies by trim, with the ST-Line offering a more aggressive black mesh look complemented by a large single-wing rear spoiler and unique rear skid plates.

Standard models come equipped with 17-inch Shadow Silver-painted aluminum wheels, while elevated trims offer 18-inch and 19-inch designs that provide a more commanding stance. For those who enjoy the scenic views of the Coulee Region, an available Panoramic Vista Roof® allows natural light to fill the cabin. Practical exterior features like a power liftgate and heated side-view mirrors are also available to assist with the changing weather conditions in Western Wisconsin.

Interior Refinement

Inside, the 2026 Escape is designed with a focus on ergonomics and digital connectivity. The dashboard is centered around the SYNC 4 infotainment system, which is accessed via a standard 8-inch or an available 13.2-inch capacitive touchscreen. This system supports wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™, allowing for seamless smartphone integration.

The cabin offers seating for five, with a sliding second row that can move nearly 6 inches to prioritize either passenger legroom or cargo capacity. When the 60/40 split-fold rear seats are down, the vehicle provides up to 65.4 cubic feet of storage space. Available interior upgrades include ActiveX™ trimmed upholstery, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, and a wireless charging pad located in the center console.

Performance and Capability

The 2026 model year offers a diverse range of powertrains. The standard 1.5-liter EcoBoost® engine provides a balanced driving experience for city and highway use. For those seeking more robust acceleration, a 2.0-liter EcoBoost® engine is available, producing 250 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque.

In addition to traditional gasoline engines, the Escape is available with Hybrid and Plug-In Hybrid (PHEV) options. The hybrid system utilizes a 2.5-liter Atkinson-cycle I-4 engine, while the PHEV allows for short-distance electric-only driving. Available Intelligent All-Wheel Drive monitors traction in real-time, automatically distributing torque between the front and rear wheels to provide stability during snowy Wisconsin winters.

Safety Technology

Safety is anchored by the Ford Co-Pilot360® suite of technologies, which comes standard on all models. This system includes:

  • Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking and Pedestrian Detection.
  • Blind Spot Information System (BLIS®) with Cross-Traffic Alert.
  • Lane-Keeping System to help prevent unintended lane drifting.
  • Auto High-Beam Headlamps for improved nighttime visibility.

Advanced options include Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop-and-Go, which can adjust the vehicle's speed based on the flow of traffic, and a 360-degree camera with split-view for easier parking and maneuvering in tight spaces.
