Model Highlights
Exterior Design
The exterior of the 2026 E-Transit maintains the professional and highly functional aesthetic of the Transit lineup while introducing modern touches. The front end is highlighted by a unique three-bar grille with Dynamic Blue center bars and high-intensity discharge (HID) headlamps that provide excellent visibility during early morning or late-evening shifts. To accommodate various business needs, the vehicle is available in three roof heights and two body lengths.
Practicality remains a priority, with standard features like a sliding passenger-side cargo door and 50/50 hinged rear doors that open up to 180 degrees. For those operating in tighter loading zones, optional 253-degree rear door hinges are available. New for the 2026 model year are redesigned rear taillamps that integrate sensors for the available blind-spot monitoring system, ensuring a cleaner look while enhancing functionality.
Interior Refinement
The 2026 interior has been transformed into a mobile office. Every model now features a standard 12-inch center touchscreen running SYNC 4, complemented by a new 8-inch digital instrument cluster. This digital refresh allows drivers in the Coulee Region to easily access navigation, fleet management tools, and wireless smartphone integration.
The cabin is designed for efficiency and comfort, featuring a keyless push-button start and a medium center console with an integrated rotary shifter. For Onalaska’s cold winters, the E-Transit comes standard with a vapor injection heat pump, which is engineered to warm the cabin more efficiently than traditional systems, helping to preserve the battery's energy for driving. The cargo area remains vast and customizable, with available Pro Power Onboard providing 2.4 kW of exportable power for tools and equipment.
Performance and Capability
The 2026 E-Transit is powered by a rear-wheel-drive electric motor that delivers 266 horsepower and 317 lb-ft of torque. This provides immediate acceleration, which is particularly useful for stop-and-go driving in municipal areas. The vehicle is equipped with an 89-kWh high-voltage battery and features a single-speed transmission for smooth operation.
To assist with fleet efficiency, the van includes Smart Acceleration Truncation, a feature that manages acceleration based on the vehicle's payload to ensure smooth starts. For charging, a single onboard charger is standard, though a dual-onboard charger is now available as an option to decrease charging times when connected to compatible high-power infrastructure.
Safety Technology
Safety is anchored by the Ford Co-Pilot360® suite, which is now standard across the 2026 lineup. Key safety features include:
- Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking.
- Lane-Keeping System and Road Edge Detection.
- Post-Collision Braking to help prevent secondary impacts.
- Intersection Assist, which can detect oncoming traffic during left-hand turns.
Available upgrades include a 360-degree camera with split-view and Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop-and-Go. Additionally, the Delivery Assist feature can be added to help high-frequency stop-and-go drivers by automatically engaging hazard lights and locking doors when the vehicle is placed in park.
